Laguna Blankets
Inspired by rich traditions and the stunning geography of Lake Atitlán, the local women artisans in the village of San Juan La Laguna, Guatemala handcrafted this exquisite collection of blankets. The weavers use a backstrap loom and hand-spun cotton thread, often combined with a hand-spun silk thread. The vibrant colors are made through natural dye processes using herbs, plants, insects and moonlight creating the earthy palettes of this machine washable collection. Traditional symbols of the Mayan community are intricately handwoven into the patterns of these lovely blankets.
