The Mendez family hand spin their wool threads and uses a pedal loom to create these magnificent rugs, “tapetes”. The family designed wool rugs are inspired by the Zapotec traditions, combined with a modern twist, creating these unique designs.

Wool rugs are aesthetically pleasing, durable, comforting, naturally hypoallergenic, moisture resistant, dust mite resistant, fire-resistant and versatile.

Care:  The maintenance is easy with frequent low impact vacuuming (without the use of the spinning brush it is more gentle on your handwoven wool).

Spot Clean your rug if you have a stain, using a cleaning solution, dip rag in solution and clear spot until it goes away.

Dry clean or hand wash with cold water and a gentle cleaning solution, rinse with cold water, hang out to dry.
